Governor Issues Writ of Election for State Senate Seat

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue today issued a writ of special election to fill the vacancy of State Senate District 35 due to the resignation of State Senator Kasim Reed.

The special election to fill the vacancy will be held Tuesday, November 3 in conjunction with municipal elections.

Qualifying dates will be set by the Secretary of State’s office.
